50+ English - Combination of Intensive English Program and Sightseeing for the Mature Learner
The 50+ program is designed for mature students who wish to study exclusively with other students of a similar age to themselves. It is based on practical English with useful phrases and functional language for travel and everyday situations.
The course is delivered at a more leisurely pace so you develop fluency in a casual and informal learning environment.
By following this course, you improve your general level of English, learn key vocabulary, functional and situational English phrases which will enable you to communicate easily in English anywhere in the world. Your teacher will set up purposely-designed communicative activities to give you maximum opportunities to practice with other mature individuals.
In this program, you have the opportunity to study English in a small 50+ class at your level. We will also introduce you to a variety of interesting local destination. You can choose 2, 3, or 4 weeks of classes.
This course aims to:
• build your confidence in speaking English
• help you improve your understanding of spoken English
• show you beautiful Southern California
• introduce you to different aspects of life and culture in the United States
• guide you around the highlights of Los Angeles
• allow you to meet new people and make new friends
Maximum: 4 students per class
Level: Elementary to Advanced
Minimum Age: 50
Length: 2, 3 or 4 weeks
Placement test on day 1 to ensure a class at your level
Morning English lessons + afternoon / weekend activities
Fully guided social program with your teachers
1 full-day weekend excursion for 2 weeks; 2 for 3 weeks; 3 for 4 weeks
